The all new Lexus IS300C was launched today by Ebrahim K. Kanoo, the sole distributor of Toyota and Lexus in the Kingdom of Bahrain, during an event that was held at Lexus Showroom in Sitra, where Lexus enthusiasts, sporty cars fans and local press attended.

The all new IS300C takes gorgeous beauty and quality to a whole new level. A set of new technologies and a luxurious spacious interior combine seamlessly stating an evolution in the sport coupe segment in Bahrain market. One step into its interior shows the combination of two tastes in a single space. The front seats give the sense of a sporty cockpit with the same instrument panel of the IS sedan; while the rear seats are spacious thanks to a luxurious smart design that envelopes the passenger. Each of the IS300C seats is imbued with Lexus hospitality. Access to the spacious rear seats is supported by a switch-operated fold & return front seats, where by pressing the button positioned on the side of each front seat near the top, the seats slide and recline forward at a speed that does not induce stress, facilitating smooth access to and from the rear seats.
And to make driving IS300C more pleasurable, the electric retractable hardtop lets you choose freely between two styles: the sportiness of a coupe and the elegant freedom of a convertible. The lightweight hard aluminum roof opens and closes by operating a single switch. The smooth series of movements require only 20 seconds to complete and is the shortest among all its segment competitors. In addition, the hardtop interlinks with the Lexus park assist system, which detects obstacles near the vehicle, to help assure safety during opening and closing.
Moreover, the Lexus IS300C features the advanced Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) systems which are designed to deliver exceptional stability and control, while maintaining the vehicle's optimal position in various driving conditions. Leading edge intelligent systems do their work to take the burden of driving off the driver, as features such as Electric Power Steering (EPS), Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM), Bi-HID headlamps, intelligent Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) and Wide-angle rear view monitor create a sense of total command on the road and peace of mind.

The IS300C comes with a powerful 3.0 litre V6 engine and a smooth-shifting 6-speed automatic transmission which uses artificial intelligence (AI-SHIFT), to automatically control the shift pattern based on estimates of both road conditions and driver intentions. The new engine also comes with VVT-I (Variable Valve timing with intelligence) for more power and better fuel economy, and it's designed to deliver optimal performance in a wide-range of driving conditions.
Additionally, as part of its pursuit of ideal safety performance, the IS300C ability to maintain excellent strength during a collision from a variety of angles, regardless of whether the hardtop is open or closed helps protect vehicle occupants. the IS300C also features a dual – stage SRS driver airbag, dual stage SRS front passenger airbag, SRS knee airbags and large type SRS head and torso side airbags that expands the impact absorbing area to include occupants heads. Also the SRS front passenger airbag is a twin-chamber type that pursues excellent protection performance.
