L-FINESSE DESIGN

Integral to Lexus' ceaseless pursuit of perfection is the L-finesse design principle. Drawing strongly on references from the extensive heritage of Japanese design iconography, it informs every aspect of the design approach to the Lexus range of vehicles.

The new LS 460 embodies the complex rationale of L-finesse not only in the visual synergies between the exterior and interior design, but also in the combination of leading edge engineering and sophisticated technology with unparalleled refinement and an extraordinary simplicity of function.

Taking its inspiration from traditional Japanese cultural symbols, the LS 460 is the strongest yet representation of the L-finesse philosophy. Even the finest details are informed by this approach: the strong 'arrowhead' motif to the headlamp glazing is inspired by 'Karikaeshi', a symbol of dynamism through a rapid, yet fluid change of direction.

Evident in all the models exhibited at the show - the LS, the GS, the RX, the SC and the IS range - the unique L-finesse design philosophy informs every aspect of the Lexus design process imbuing the vehicles with the elegant, dynamic aesthetics that make Lexus vehicles as noticeable as they are memorable.
