LEXUS

Entrance: Introduction - The Beginning
On first entering the exhibition, visitors are immediately confronted by an image of a vast, tumultuous yet beautiful glacier projected on the surrounding walls. In this way, the space symbolizes the contrast between the bravery of the human mind in exploring new frontiers with the powers of adversity inherent in any new challenge to the intellect. At the beginning of the journey through the exhibition, the visitor is accompanied by the words of Andrea Branzi, a master artist in the Italian design world, who is today totally in tune with the Japanese way of thinking and sense of beauty. The works on exhibit: "Glacier" by Hiroshi Senju.

Main Hall: "Awakening" - L-finesse Awareness
The main exhibition hall is a bold yet beautiful space. The sculptural model of the concept car LF-A and the next generation GS are highlighted in a pure-white, mist-filled environment. Because they are indistinct, the forms stimulate the viewer's imagination and intellect to search for the unseen, guiding visitors to an understanding of the perceptions of feeling and sensitivity unique to Japanese thought processes. Vehicles on exhibit: GS and the sculpture model of the concept car LF-A.

Room 1: 'Understanding' - L-finesse Understanding
Presentations of the world of L-finesse, through exhibit and cinema that are deeply rooted in Japanese spirituality and philosophy. The 'L'finesse Art Movie' stimulates the senses whilst exemplifying the relationship between the new LEXUS design direction and the traditional aesthetics of Japanese culture. The ' chandelier' ,'round table' and the ' low chair' exhibits reflect a new beauty conceived through the use of Japanese leading-edge technology.
Art Works on exhibit: Kazuyo Seijima's new work ' Chandelier'; Junya Isigami's new work ' round table and ' low chair'.

Room 2 : 'Contemplation' - L-finesse Contemplation
This space confronts the visitor with a series of four new art works, 'Glee' ' Anger' ' Sorrow' and ' Pleasure', encapsulating diverse human emotions. The dignified yet relaxing space encourages visitors to escape from the fatigue of daily life and sit in comfortable, unhurried mediation, contemplating aspects of the L-finesse design philosophy reflected in the paintings. Art Works on exhibit: Hiroshi Senju's new pieces; Waterfall series - ' Glee' ' Anger' ' Sorrow' and ' Pleasure'.

Corridor: ' Memory' - Beauty in L-finesse
Here a photographic college featuring a Lexus vehicle further reinforces the car's status as a work of art in its own right.
